Stall Mats
Stall Mats are essential in any barn. Standing on a hard stall floor, or in a wet horse stall, can contribute to foot problems and lameness in your animals, and just raise your costs and risks. And a concrete floor in a barn aisle can cause a horse to turn up lame before a ride or a drive.
Good heavy rubber stall mats for horse stalls and barn aisles are essential, as responsible horse people already know. But moving these mats in the barn, or moving them to clean the barn, can be a real chore.
If you are building a barn or renovating an old barn, be sure to start with pack or gravel to level the floor of the stalls. Then, you’ll need some heavy rubber stall mats or interlocking mats in the stall- these can be bought online or from a feed store.
Once these stall mats are delivered, the work begins- the stack of heavy horse matting stares at you from outside the barn, waiting to get in. This is the fun part.
Save Your Back! Get this Great Stall Mat Moving Tool Here Today!
Moving rubber horse stall mats is not a fun job, I can tell you from personal experience. With a 6 horse barn in Massachusetts, I grew up moving these things for my mother and never enjoyed the work. At even a ripe young age, your back hurts, and your hands are simply not made to grip those things!
But I discovered a great tool called the EZ Grip a few weeks ago, and immediately bought one for Mom for Mothers day. She showed a friend, who bought three. It’s the perfect solution for moving stable mats.
This patented handle with sturdy gripping jaws is one of those great tools that does exactly what it says it’ll do, and does it well. It easily grips a heavy rubber horse mat and allows you to pull it, move it around, even pick it up with a tractor bucket and chain.
It’s so refreshing when you see something you know you need, and you buy it, and it works…. I can’t tell you how many things just don’t live up to promises. The EZ Grip isn’t one of them though, and is backed up with a warranty and friendly local people in Montana who you can pick up the phone and call with any questions.
I talked to the inventor of the EZ Grip this week- Jim’s a friend and owner of a local pet food store, and sells EZGrips online HERE. He asked for some help getting the word out online, and I offered to help him out. So please, take a look at how beautifully simple this is for Moving Stall Mats and you’ll see pretty quickly that this is an essential tool in any barn for moving rubber matting, grabbing stall mats, and positioning those interlocking mats that you need to keep your horses sound.
